Desde 1995, millones de personas consultan y publican en Craiglist, la más completa guía de clasificados virtuales. Allí se puede buscar trabajo, vivienda, pareja o simplemente compañía. Curioso, el fotógrafo Mark Andrew emprendió el proyecto De-Classified: contactar a los autores de cada anuncio y fotografiarlos en su entorno. Una serie que, junto a los textos, indaga en la condición humana.

“En enero de 2009 tuve la idea; fotografiar en sus casas a personas que han publicado una amplia variedad de anuncios personales. Aunque imaginé que la mayoría no querría renunciar a su anonimato, en realidad creí que algunos aceptarían”, confesó el autor, que cada semana actualiza su galería con nuevos testimonios fotográficos.

“Un par de meses después de concebido el proyecto, puedo decir que tuve la increíble experiencia de compartir tiempo con más de 50 personas que no hubiera tenido la oportunidad de conocer. En su mayoría nos reunimos en sus casas, y trabajamos juntos en crear la imagen que se ve en las fotos”, agregó.
